Jennifer Watson

Jennifer Watson is an Account Director at iNHouse Communications, having been promoted twice in just over a year since joining in July 2023 as an Account Manager. She leads public affairs for clients in energy, infrastructure, and transport, managing high-profile accounts and overseeing political engagement at both UK and Scottish levels.

Jen has played a key role in shaping public affairs strategies, ensuring clients are at the centre of political discussions and securing meaningful engagement with government and parliamentarians. She has led stakeholder and media strategies for major infrastructure projects, securing national and regional media coverage and delivering high-impact campaigns that have shaped policy debates. She has also played a central role in leading political engagement on long-duration energy storage, securing critical government and opposition support. She has developed and led a national engagement programme connecting stakeholders with key decision-makers and led the development of a gold-standard approach to community engagement for a major renewable energy project. Her work has been recognised with industry awards for its impact on public affairs, media, and policy outcomes. Beyond client work, Jen has contributed to expanding iNHouse’s public affairs offer, growing new business, and supporting colleagues through developing networking opportunities. She was recently appointed to the Executive Committee of Women in Public Affairs (WiPA) and holds a First-Class LLB from the University of Edinburgh and an MSc from the University of Oxford (Distinction).
